Overnight ‘rampage’ in Co Meath leaves 17 cars damaged

Gardaí in Co Meath are investigating criminal damage after 17 cars were damaged overnight in Trim.

A post on the Meath Crime Prevention Facebook page said thieves “went on a complete rampage” between 10pm on Wednesday and 7am on Thursday.

Cash, a CD and a Lourdes gold medal were stolen. While not all the cars had items stolen from them, all had windows smashed.

The incidents occurred at Tower view, Pinebrook, Swift Court, Mornington Close and Heights, Whitehall and Boyne Drive.

Gardaí are understood to be following a definite line of inquiry.

Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity may contact gardaí at Trim Garda Station.
