Guns, stolen cars and drugs found in south Dublin garda seizure

Two men were arrested as cannabis and cocaine worth €28,000 found in Tallaght

Gardaí seized drugs, a gun and cars during a raid in an industrial estate in Tallaght yesterday morning.

Two men, aged 29 and 39 years old, were arrested at the Cookstown Industrial Estate following an operation led by gardaí targeting criminal activity in Dublin.

Cannabis and cocaine with an estimated street value up to €28,000 was found along with a firearm.

Gardaí said four cars that were believed to been stolen were also seized.

The search was carried out by the detective unit in Tallaght, DMR South Task Force, Sundrive Road Drug Unit and the Garda Stolen Motor Vehicle Investigation Unit.

The operation was supported by uniformed officers from Tallaght.

Both arrested men were detained at Tallaght Garda Station and released without charge late last night.

A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
