CRH has agreed to buy Tyco International Ltd's Ancon Building Products business for €110 million in cash.
The purchase, which is subject to regulatory approval, will expand CRH's construction accessories unit in mainland Europe, the Middle East and Australia, the Dublin-based construction giant said in a Regulatory News Service statement.
Sheffield-based Ancon had an operating profit of $23 million on sales of $107 million last year, Tyco said in a separate statement.
It will be considered a discontinued operation when Tyco reportsresults on May 1st.
