The chief executive of the Irish League of Credit Unions (ILCU) has announced his resignation.
Liam O'Dwyer will stay in the position until the end of the year and remains committed to the implementation of the movement's strategic plan, according to a statement issued by the ILCU.
"Mr O'Dwyer has decided for personal and family reasons not to extend his five year contract with the ILCU when it ends at the end of this year," the statement added.
ILCU President Uel Adair said Mr O'Dwyer had shown "great commitment to the vision and values of the credit union movement and the work of the ILCU".
