Gardai in Baltinglass, Co Wicklow, are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road accident. Two vehicles - a green Toyota pick-up van and a wine-coloured Renault Laguna - were involved in the collision which happened at the Seven Stars Crossroads, Fortunestown, Co Kildare, at around 1.10 p.m. on January 20th.
Gardai want to hear from any witnesses, particularly the driver of an articulated lorry who stopped at the scene and left a mobile telephone number with a member of the public. Those with information should contact the Garda on 0508-81022.
