Taoiseach Brian Cowen will today complete his triumphant tour of his native Co Offaly with visits to Birr and Ferbane.
Thousands of well-wishers yesterday turned out to greet their local hero in Edenderry, Tullamore and his home town of Clara.
Offaly County Council bestowed a civic reception on Mr Cowen in Tullamore.
Last Wednesday Mr Cowen succeeded Bertie Ahern as the 12th Taoiseach of the country.
He told the crowds that once the celebrations were over, his immediate priority was to win a Yes vote in the Lisbon Treaty referendum on June 12th.
