Lawyers for Ian Bailey have been given six weeks to file submissions for his Supreme Court appeal against an order for his extradition to France in connection with the killing of French filmmaker Sophie Toscan du Plantier in Co Cork some 14 years ago.

The State will have another four weeks to reply to those submissions, so the appeal cannot be heard before July.
