The result of Indonesia's first direct presidential election, where a former general crushed incumbent Megawati Sukarnoputri, is final, the head of the Constitutional Court said today.
Asked by reporters what he would say at a scheduled announcement later on Thursday after claims by Megawati's party of massive vote fraud, court chief Jimly Asshiddiqie said: "That the KPU decision is already final and binding."
The KPU is Indonesia's election commission.
