Counterfeit DVDs, CDs and cigarettes with a total value of €170,000 were seized today at a market in Co Louth.

Gardaí raided a number of stalls at the morning sale in Drogheda as part of an ongoing investigation into illegal trading in the town.

A team of local officers swooped on the market at 10.30am. Gardaí said one vehicle was also impounded during the search.
