A Kerry County Council road worker who died on Monday after being crushed by an earth-moving machine has been named by gardaí as 50-year-old Tim Morley of Coomnakilla, Blackwater.

Mr Morley had been working on a road-widening scheme at Eirk on the main Ring of Kerry tourist route outside Killarney at 8.30am when the incident happened.
