London - The British government is to unveil plans aimed at cutting the price of new cars.
The cost of a new car could be cut by up to 10 per cent as makers face up to the inevitability of cheaper vehicles. The Trade and Industry Secretary, Mr Stephen Byers, will publish his response to a Competition Commission's report today.
