A coroner has suggested that school buses should be equipped with warning lights similar to those on farm machinery

A coroner has suggested that school buses should be equipped with warning lights similar to those on farm machinery. Dr Richard Joyce, coroner for East Galway, said the introduction of warning lights, might help cut down on fatal accidents involving children, getting off school buses.

He made his comment after, hearing how six year old Marian Fitzpatrick died last October when hit by a car after getting off a school bus near her home at Culliaghmore, Ballinasloe.
