A man from Cork has been jailed for 15 years today after being found guilty of possessing cocaine and cannabis resin for sale or supply.

Michael Tanner (38)  from Casement Street in Clonakilty, west Cork, was found in possession of €77,000 worth of the drugs on June 2nd this year.

Tanner was sentenced under Section 15A of the Misuse of Drugs Act because the judge believed Tanner to be the ringleader and not just a courier.

Tanner maintained he had been set up by gardaí prior to his arrest.
