Cork hurling captain Kieran Murphy has failed to make the starting line-up for Sunday's All-Ireland hurling quarter-final against Waterford, his omission one of several changes from the surprise defeat to Tipperary in the last round of the qualifiers.

Murphy's place in the forward line goes to Timmy McCarthy, while Kieran Murphy of the Sarsfields club, is once again named at full forward.
