Hugh Cooney has been appointed the new chairman of Enterprise Ireland to replace Pat Molloy.
Mr Cooney is head of corporate finance at BDO Simpson Xavier. He also currently serves as chairman of the Trustees of Arnotts Pension Fund, chairman of Siteserv plc and is a nonexecutive director of Origin Enterprises.
Announcing the appointment, Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Mary Coughlan said "I have every confidence that Hugh’s valuable experience and knowledge will contribute greatly to the further growth and internationalisation of Irish enterprise.”
