Contempt charges against Mr Senan Molony, crime correspondent of the Star newspaper, arising out of his coverage of the Brendan O'Donnell murder trial, were adjourned at Dublin District Court yesterday.

Mr Molony, of Terenure Road North, Dublin, is alleged to have knowingly read privileged and confidential documents in the possession of Mr Garrett Sheehan, a solicitor acting for O'Donnell.

Mr Felix McEnroe BL, defending, asked for an adjournment to November 7th. Judge Joseph Mangan adjourned the case to that date for mention only.
