Pint of order: The owner of a Polish restaurant in Britain has been threatened with court and a £2,000 (€2,500) fine for serving beer by the litre.

The Kuchnia Polska restaurant in Doncaster was last week served an infringement notice for selling beer illegally because it serves the drink in litres rather than pints. The restaurant has been given 28 days to change all its glasses.
