The current issue of uber cool magazine Monocle, edited by Tyler Brûlé, pinpoints Inis Meáin knitwear as one of six "ones to watch" from Pitti Uomo's recent menswear show in Florence.

The Aran Island company has secured a major €100,000 order from Barneys in New York and Chicago for their collection of jackets, shirts, pants and knitwear. “We are really bouncing back,” says owner Tarlach de Blacam, admitting that last year had been difficult. It has also seen a huge increase in orders from Germany, having made a hit at the Bread and Butter show in Berlin, at Templehof. The clothes will be stocked in 14OZ, Berlin’s store of the year. Here, Irish actor Eoin Macken models a washed linen shirt, stretch knit cardigan and bird’s eye linen tie from Inis Meain’s current spring/summer collection. See inismeain.com.
