The Community Workers' Co-operative has welcomed the publication of the Government's Green Paper on the role of the voluntary and community sector, unveiled this week by the Minister for Social Welfare, Mr De Rossa. It follows a commitment in the Partnership 2000 agreement which recognised the sector as "a social partner".
The document offered the basis for the development of a coherent Government policy on ending social exclusion, CWC spokesman Mr Chris McInerney said.
