The Electronic Voting and Counting Commission, established by the Government on March 1st, was headed by a High Court judge, Mr Justice Matthew P. Smith.
The other members were:
Mr Kieran Coughlan, clerk of the Dáil;
Ms Deirdre Lane, clerk of the Seanad;
Mr Danny O'Hare, chairman of the Information Society Commission and former head of Dublin City University; and
Mr Brian Sweeney, chairman and former chief executive of Siemens Ireland, and former chairman of the Science Foundation Ireland.
