Comedian Brendan O'Carroll had a civil case settled out of court at Waterford Circuit Court yesterday

Comedian Brendan O'Carroll had a civil case settled out of court at Waterford Circuit Court yesterday. The action was taken against him by a local garda, Mr William Mortell. A statement was read in court to Judge Sean O'Leary saying that the parties had accepted there was a misunderstanding which had now been resolved to everybody's satisfaction.

Judge O'Leary said he thought both parties were very wise. "These things should be settled out of court," he said.
