BOGOTA - The Colombian Justice Minister, Mr Carlos Medellin, an outspoken supporter of calls for an end to Colombia's constitutional ban on extradition, handed his resignation yesterday to President Ernesto Samper, according to local reports. Mr Medellin has won acclaim in the US for his role in pushing tough anti-drug laws through Congress since he took office early last year.
