BRASIUA - A key figure behind the rise and fall of the former Brazilian president, Mr Fernando Collor de Mello, was found murdered yesterday, perhaps in a lover's quarrel.
Police in the north east Brazilian city of Maceio, capital of Mr Collor's former political stronghold of Alagoas state, said Mr Paulo Cesar "PC" Farias was found gunned down in a beach house. His 28 year old girlfriend was found dead nearby, they said.
