Two people have been arrested following the seizure of six kilos of cocaine from a car in Fermoy Co Cork.
Gardaí from the town stopped the car at a checkpoint and seized €500,000 worth of cocaine shortly after 9:30 pm last night.
A man in his 40's and a woman in her 20's were both arrested at the scene.
They are being detained at Fermoy Garda Station under Section 2 Drug Trafficking Act where they can can be held for up to seven days.
