The Shannon Coastguard Helicopter is searching off the Cork coast for a missing fisherman.
He was fishing in a 21-foot boat. The alarm was raised when he failed to return to Schull Harbour. A boat has reportedly been spotted on rocks on the East Calf Island some two miles from Schull.
Joining the helicopter are the Baltimore Lifeboat and the Goleen Cliff and Coast rescue team. Weather conditions in the area are said to be poor.
