The Shannon Regional Fisheries Board will consider legal action against a company responsible for an oil spill in the River Lung near Ballaghaderreen, Co Roscommon.
A broken pipe is understood to have caused the pollution, which was notified to the county council last Tuesday and concerns a section of the river five miles downstream from Ballaghaderreen.
