A search for missing 11-year-old Traveller girl Catherine O'Driscoll will resume this morning.

A search for missing 11-year-old Traveller girl Catherine O'Driscoll will resume this morning.

Catherine was last seen at around 11.30 p.m. on Friday night when she left her parents' caravan at their encampment in Crookstown, Co Cork, to go to the caravan she shared with her siblings.

Gardaí, Civil Defence members and up to 50 local people spent the weekend searching the area for her.

Gardaí believe Catherine called to a farmhouse near Crookstown on Saturday morning and then may have hitched a lift to Bantry or Dunmanway.

Catherine is four foot, 11 inches tall, with blue eyes and shoulder-length blond hair.
