WINCHESTER - Bruce Grobbelaar, the goalkeeper accused of being part of a plot to fix matches, was praised in court by a former teammate yesterday as having a great desire to win at all times.
The soccer star Nigel Clough, who played with Grobbelaar at Liverpool, said he was fiercely competitive and his fellow players were glad to have him in goal.
