Closure order for Cork restaurant

Cork restaurant the Ivory Tower has been closed by the Food Safety Authority

Cork restaurant the Ivory Tower has been closed by the Food Safety Authority. The authority was yesterday granted a High Court order to enforce the closure of the premises following the refusal by its owner, chef Séamus O’Connell, to comply with a closure order on November 24th.

The restaurant had continued to operate despite that closure order.

The Food Safety Authority said it was pleased at the outcome which would “protect public health”.
