WASHINGTON - President Clinton yesterday nominated acting CIA chief Mr George Tenet (44) to head the agency. The announcement comes just two days after Mr Clinton's first nominee, Mr Anthony Lake, withdrew complaining about the "nasty and brutish" treatment he received from Republicans on the confirmation committee.
