THE Irish mountaineer Mr Pat Falvey (39) yesterday completed his climb of the seventh of the world's highest mountains when he reached the top of Australia's Mount Kosciousku (2230 metres) at 7 a.m.
Sponsored by BOC Gases, he set about climbing the highest peaks on the world's seven continents three years ago, and has become the first Irishman to complete the task. "Finally the odyssey has ended," he said yesterday, "my dream is now a reality."
