A major clean-up operation is under way in Dublin today following a fuel spillage in St Johns Road West area of the city.

A major clean-up operation is under way in Dublin today following a fuel spillage in St Johns Road West area of the city.

Thousands of gallons of diesel spilled onto road after a generator fell off the back of a truck at around 9 a.m. this morning.

The road is currently closed in both directions and inbound traffic is being diverted onto South Circular Road while outbound traffic is being diverted at Heuston Station and onto Park Gate Street.
