Conradh na Gaeilge has called on the Taoiseach to immediately contact the British Prime Minister, Mr Tony Blair, for clarification about the promises made in the Belfast Agreement on the Irish language. The president of Conradh, Mr Tomas Mac Ruairi, said concern had been expressed by various groups due to the apparent absence of any mention of the Irish language and other matters in the Bill before the House of Commons.
