Sister Ethel Normoyle from Lissycasey, Co Clare, has won the Tipperary Peace Convention Award.
She is a member of the Order of the Blue Nuns, based in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. She is being honoured for her "outstanding contribution" to community development in Port Elizabeth. She has won many awards including Woman of the Year and Citizen of the Year in South Africa.
