A Dublin woman has settled a claim for damages for alleged medical negligence against her local doctor

A Dublin woman has settled a claim for damages for alleged medical negligence against her local doctor. Ms Patricia Thomson, of Bramley Park, Castleknock, had sued Dr Mary O'Keeffe, Maple Drive, Castleknock, in the Circuit Civil Court.

A lodgement of £3,090 was made on May 17th, 1996. Mr David Nolan, counsel for Ms Thomson, told acting Circuit Court president, Judge Diarmuid Sheridan, the claim was a medical negligence action and had been settled and could be struck out. Afterwards it was learned the settlement included a confidentiality clause.
