AJ Auxerre and France striker Djibril Cisse flew to Liverpool today for a medical but denied having already signed a contract to move to Anfield in July.
"I want to move to Liverpool and I'm sure I'll play at Anfield next season but I haven't signed anything yet and it would be impossible for me to do so because I'm still under contract with Auxerre until 2005," the 22-year-old told reporters.
French sports daily L'Equipe reported that Cisse, the French Ligue 1's top scorer with 14 goals, had signed a five-year contract before Christmas linking him with Liverpool from July.
