Circle Oil begins production at Egypt well

Oil and gas exploration firm Circle Oil has begun production at its Geyad-2X ST1 well in Egypt.

Oil and gas exploration firm Circle Oil has begun production at its Geyad-2X ST1 well in Egypt.

The company said production has started from the upper of the two identified pay zones in the Kareem Shagar Sandstone, and the lower untested pay zone, in the Kareem Rahmi Sandstone, will be evaluated further at a later date.

The well is producing at a rate of about 2,100 Bopd, bringing adjusted daily production from the Al Amir development lease and the two Geyad wells to more than 9,200 Bopd.
