The Darklight Digital Film Festival, running for four days from Thursday in and around the Irish Film Centre in Dublin, is the first Irish festival devoted exclusively to the new technologies which are fundamentally changing the way that films are made and watched. The busy programme of events includes screenings of short digital films, 3D works, digital animations, special effects and experimental music videos, along with seminars, workshops and a "live/interactive/multimedia/audio and visual experience", which will be broadcast live on the Internet.

Contact the IFC Booking Office (01-6793477) for information on screenings. For other events, check out the Festival website at www.darklight-filmfestival.com (016629035)
