ANKARA - Turkey's care taker prime minister, Ms Tansu Ciller, wants to run with her rival conservatives on a joint ticket in fresh general elections to break the political deadlock after inconclusive polls last month.

According to the Istanbul Milliyet, Ms filler outlined the plan for an electoral pact between her True Path and the Motherland Party to several leading businessmen she met in Istanbul at the weekend.
