GLASGOW - Catholic church officials were yesterday waiting to hear more details of a Mexican government ban on a Scottish-born priest. But a church spokesman said officials had no immediate concerns over the decision to refuse an entry visa to Father Henry McLaughlin (52).

He has been working since last year in the Chiapas region, where guerillas staged a brief armed uprising in 1994.
