PARIS - Senior French judges have accused President Chirac of forcing through the appointment of law enforcement officials in a tussle over alleged cronyism, according to a leaked report. The annual report by the Higher Magistrates' Council, obtained by the left-wing daily Liberation, followed charges that the RPR party is packing the judiciary to block embarrassing corruption inquiries.
