Budapest - Two Hungarian children, aged 12 and 14, have been detained on suspicion of beating and drowning an 11-year-old schoolgirl, police said yesterday. The body of Franciska Kovacs was found in a wooded area of Budapest.

Police said two schoolmates of the dead girl, a 12-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl, confessed that they killed her to punish her for bickering with her friends.
