Newcastle - Child killer Colin Bainbridge was yesterday jailed for life for the rape and murder of nine-year-old Laura Kane. He was told he must spend at least 22 years behind bars before being considered for release.
Mr Justice Nelson, sitting at Newcastle Crown Court, said 35-year-old Bainbridge was a "danger to young girls". He sentenced Bainbridge to life for murder and to 15 years to run concurrently on the rape charge.
