A five year old Chernobyl orphan who was brought to Ireland for adoption by the Chernobyl Children's Fund was christened yesterday at her new home in Bandon, Co Cork.

Anastasia, who will now be known as Anna Gabriel, was adopted by Bandon couple, Robert and Helen Gabriel, last June, after being rescued from the Chernobyl orphanage by the Cork based fund.
