A 39-year-old man was charged last night in relation to an incident in which two gardaí were stabbed in Co Cavan on Friday night.
One of the officers was treated at Cavan General Hospital for abdominal injuries which he suffered while responding to a domestic incident in Dungimmon, Mountnugent at about 8pm on Friday.
His colleague received injuries to his thigh, but neither garda's injuries were life-threatening.
