A father of four children was charged with the murder of a Co Clare bachelor farmer yesterday

A father of four children was charged with the murder of a Co Clare bachelor farmer yesterday. Mr William Campion (30) of no fixed abode, and formerly of Pineview Gardens, Moyross, Limerick, was charged at Killaloe District Court with the murder of Mr Patrick "Paud" Skeehan (68), Ardataggle, Bridgetown, O'Briensbridge, Co Clare, at his home on June 3rd last. He was also charged with burglary and trespass on dates in April 1998.

Mr Campion was remanded in custody to Ennis District Court on Friday, September 25th, by Judge Albert O'Dea.
