The National Youth Federation has called for changes in the Child Care Act to allow a child being exploited by an adult to be taken into care without having to be categorised as a criminal. The changes would relate in particular to child prostitution.

The federation, which held its annual meeting this weekend, is also putting questions to all political parties about youth services, training, education and jobs.
