The chief executive of Barlo, Mr Tony Mullins has made an agreed offer of €70 million for the radiator and plastics group.

The offer is being made through Mr Mullin's investment vehicle Melgan. It is an improved offer of 40 cents a share compared with a 30 cents a share offer made last year.

A statement from Barlo's independent directors said they consider the offer "fair and reasonable".
