Gardaí have appealed for information about a shooting in Celbridge, Co Kildare last night.
A Polish national was shot in the leg as he left his home on Oldtown Road at about 11pm.
The injured man (36) was removed to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown for treatment. His injuries were described as serious but not life threatening.
Gardaí believe a shotgun was used in the incident.
