Families, schools and workplaces are being encouraged to observe a minute's silence today, declared "Ceasefire Now Day" by the Solidarity to Organise Peace campaign (STOP). People are being asked to wear a white ribbon or organise a local event to send a message to the paramilitaries that there must be an immediate end to all violence.
